A native of Seattle, Washington, Margie Haywood dedicates her voice to speaking up for those being overlooked and whose visibility is a side note and gives her time to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion work before it was a trendy acronym or paid gig.

As a mother to four first, and the CEO of the 1st Black-owned co-working space in Washington, she's found her passion in unifying people across differences. She is on a mission to interrupt institutional racism and cultural norms of selfishness, bias, and hate through incorporating training, consultation, and inspirational speaking, poetry, and music connecting with her audience to provide simple, measurable, and attainable tools that all communities, leaders, and systems can implement and replicate easily and immediately.

She is in love with community accountability and disrupting oppression in love while encouraging decision-makers to use their power, influence, and platforms to promote change.

Equipped with decades of experience and a master’s degree in Social Work, Policy, and Education, emphasizing Mental Health from the University of Washington, she leads with love, listening, and understanding. She is a broad-scope thought leader that believes, whether for-profit or non-profit, there are no specialty areas in the world that are not impacted by social, environmental, and economic injustices. She knows how to speak to the audience while speaking to the heart of individuals in the room.

She’s on a change-making, box-breaking, bridge-building advocacy rampage to inspire people and policies to love and not hate the differences that contribute to our ecosystems.
